Yield Protocol
Welcome to the Crawl.
A pressure-driven extraction game where movement is mandatory, trust is temporary, and every failure has a cause.
01 The Crawl
Movement is mandatory.
The Crawl is a chronological pressure chamber. It proceeds regardless of readiness.
Environmental Doctrine01 / 04
- The Crawl forces players forward.
- Pressure builds continuously.
- Camping becomes failure.
- The environment compresses.
02 Core Loop
Move. Engage. Secure. Extract.
Four actions. Everything that makes them difficult is applied from outside them.
03 Honest Systems
The system never lies.
- Every rule is visible.
- Every failure has a cause.
- Every match starts fair.
- The game does not protect players from outcomes.
The system withholds certainty — it will not tell you whether your weapon will jam or whether your squad intends to leave you. It never falsifies what it does report. Every death is traceable to a decision.
04 Pressure
Pressure reveals judgment.
The Miasma attacks cognitive stability, not vitals. It degrades what you can trust about the room.
| Channel | Standard atmosphere | Miasma saturated |
|---|---|---|
| Sight | Clean lighting, clear silhouettes. | Light bloom, colour compression, collapsed draw distance. |
| Sound | Directional clarity, reliable cues. | Echo bleed, directional uncertainty, phantom noise. |
| Cognition | Reliable threat evaluation. | Heightened paranoia, cognitive load, reduced empathy. |
Scarcity, Void aggression, rival squads, and a fixed extraction window converge on the same few minutes. Nothing about that convergence is hidden from you.
The system does not protect you. It measures you.
05 Trust
Trust is a resource the interface cannot measure.
Cooperation exists. Betrayal exists. Neither is forced. In a chamber full of diagnostic overlays, trust is the only value the system does not track.
Betrayal is not a backstab in the dark — it is a signalled, announced act. When trust breaks here, it breaks consciously, publicly, and under pressure.
06 Extraction
The end is the most dangerous moment.
Pressure compresses around a fixed endpoint. Every surviving squad is pushed toward the same door on the same clock. If more than one arrives, extraction becomes a negotiation — or a severance.
